Every year World Heritage Day, also known ad International Day for Monuments and Sites, is observed on April 18 to preserve the human heritage and recognize organizations working towards preserving it. World Heritage Sites, including ancient buildings, historic sites, and monuments, are listed by the United Nationals Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as culturally important with universal value. World Heritage Day is an opportunity to conserve and preserve our heritage culture. This year’s theme is ‘Heritage and Climate’ aimed at promoting conservation research and employing sustainable strategies to protect heritage sites. This annual event quickly approaching its 40-year anniversary, is being celebrated all over the world as a way to honor heritage, diversity, community, and the environment.
