IMPACT TOURISM: Giving Time, Talent, & Treasure

A Day-Long Event Designed to Develop Best Practices for Travel Giving & Sharing Stories

The Center for Responsible Travel (CREST) Organization of American States is presenting a day-long forum will focus on successful travel giving programs for a wide range of businesses and destination types.  The 2019 World tourism forum is an interactive event that will bring together industry leaders from around the world and feature a keynote address from Intrepid Group CEO, James Thornton.  It will trace the evolution of what was originally referred to as travelers’ philanthropy into Impact tourism, which today represents a broad array of travel giving programs. presentations and panels will feature both critical challenges and inspiring stories of impact.  The event will be held at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington DC.
